For the foreseeable future, scheduled meetings of the Ostomy Association of New York will be conducted via Zoom. (Meetings are also accessible via non-rotary phone). While we were fortunate to have had in-person meetings in the Einhorn Auditorium at Lenox Hill Hospital for many years, the current Zoom format optimizes the health and safety of OANY’s officers, members, and the larger ostomy community we seek to serve. Not all are eligible for vaccination, and individuals with various health issues and compromised immunity remain at elevated risk. New York City is currently facing an uptick in infections via sub-variants which are expected to continue to proliferate, and reinfections appear likely despite vaccines and boosters, along with the risk of developing “long Covid.”

We want to emphasize that, in addition to our scheduled Zoom meetings, persons who have questions, concerns, or issues to discuss regarding living with an ostomy are encouraged to contact us via phone at 212-864-1968, or by

e-mail: watkindkl@oanewyork.org.
